iARCH produced a concept design for a new clubhouse and foreshore jetty for the Alexandra Yacht Club, to replace the historic (1873) clubhouse which had been destroyed in a fire.

Peter Wislocki and Paweł Kłopatowski produced a design which, analysing the club’s sailing and social activities from first principles, exploits the full potential of the unique location, creating an affordable and efficient building whose distinctive form perfectly follows its function, and provides the club, and the town of Southend-on-Sea, with a distinctive if modestly scaled landmark.
