Architectural solutions that deliver
The design of the house maximises the open amenity area of the site, linking the open plan, double-height living space with the south-facing garden. Compact and efficient, the building’s detailed design and timber frame construction minimised costs where possible, setting aside a more generous budget for key elements, such as the high quality glazing system and internal finishes. The building’s uncompromisingly modern yet sensitive design was praised by the local authority’s planning officers and planning committee members, and the completed house was published in the Sunday Times and Architects’ Journal and received extensive coverage in self-builders and interior design publications.
Completed in 2003.
Peter Wislocki acted as architect and co-developer.
